New debut solo album
By This Window, the heart of an artistic journey that intertwines personal roots and sonic research.
By This Window, Edoardo Petracci’s debut solo album, blends classical tradition with modern electronic landscapes. Rooted in blending acoustic instruments and electronic elements, the project moves between intimate moments of quiet reflection and expansive soundscapes, inviting listeners into a sonic journey that bridges past and present.
In order to create the album, Edoardo withdrew to the mountains of Sila, in Southern Italy. There, surrounded by nature, he rebuilt his studio from scratch and found the focus and solitude needed to shape a deeply personal sound. This retreat allowed him to reconnect with both silence and creativity, turning isolation into inspiration.
“No genre restriction or
stylistic label, simply
music flowing, simply
being, but most of all,
being free.”
Shaped by an approach that naturally leans toward minimalism, ambient electronics, and modern classical, the album reimagines familiar textures - soft piano keys, subtle strings orchestrations, analog synthesizers - into something fresh and evocative.
To remain true to the immediacy of the creative act, every composition was recorded with analog machines and tape, capturing a raw and authentic sound.
With By This Window, the composer opens a portal: a place where tradition meets innovation, where the listener can pause, reflect and be carried through evolving soundscapes.
It is an invitation to explore not just music, but presence, memory and possibility.
“Every choice in life
leads us exactly to
the moment
we are in.
I knew I was meant to
be there.”
